HOW TO ACTIVATE YOUR PREPAID INTERNET SERVICE

Connect to fast, affordable, uncapped Fibre internet. Contact Wistec to activate the service and purchase Prepaid bundles. 

1: Check your Fibre coverage

Check on the coverage map if your address is in an Openserve Prepaid Fibre area.

2: Request a prepaid line and installation bundle

Contact Wistec for an Openserve Prepaid Connect Fibre line installation.

You will also need to purchase an installation bundle from Wistec, which includes installation of your Fibre line, a Wifi enabled device as well as 14 days of uncapped internet usage. Once off fee is R190

3: Schedule a Fibre installation 

An Openserve technician will schedule an appointment to come through and install the Fibre infrastructure and WiFi enabled device (ONT) at your home. 

Our technicians will connect the Fibre from the road into your home. Please ensure that someone is home on the installation day. 

4: Ready, GO

Once the installation is complete you will immediately have access to the super-fast Fibre internet. Your installation bundle gives you access to the internet for 14 days. Thereafter you can do:

1) 7 Day top-up’s as you need it @ R110 per topup (stackable).

2) or 30 Day top-up’s as you need it @ R370 per month.

Do I need a different router or modem?

No, your prepaid fibre comes with a WiFi-enabled device that will be wall mounted within your property. You will only need a new router for products from100Mbps to 500Mbps.

Will I need to cancel the internet service if I can’t afford it?

No, there’s no need to notify Wistec of your cancellation. You merely recharge with the appropriate bundle when you want to use the service again. You must cancel the service if you are moving premises.

How long will my service stay active for if I haven’t topped up yet?

Your service will remain active for 90 days in between bundle purchases. After 90 days without a bundle purchase, you will be required to purchase a reactivation bundle. A reconnection fee of R150 can be paid to get you going again.

How long is my Prepaid bundle active for?

Your bundle is time based. That means you will have unlimited access to the internet for 7 days.

Can I buy multiple bundles?

Yes. You can buy as many bundles as you wish. They will not all become activate at once. They will automatically activate one at a time as the previous bundle expires. 

How long is my bundle valid for if not used?

Bundles purchased will automatically activate if the ONT and line is active. Bundles on non-active lines will expire after 6 months. Reconnection fee of R210 can be paid to get you going again with us.
